ANy info on what these spurs or railroads were used for is needed.

A spur once ran from the museum under the current storage buildings accross N grove street down broad st and into the middle of grove st. You can sometimes still see the rails in a yard the rail going into the grove st. I was once told this rail ran down grove st but thats strange. Does anyone know where this rail ran to. The north switch is still connected to the main line.
